A powerful solution to the "year 2006 headphone problem"
From year 2006, there will be a sharp increase in situations where people listen to speeches or music while watching a screen. This would include watching a digital TV program on a mobile terminal (known as one-segment broadcasting) or a mobile audio-visual player, or using a videophone over a 3G mobile phone or optical fiber access at home. It is easy to imagine that many problems could easily arise if conventional wired headphones are used in all these situations. As users walk around, wires could easily get tangled or snagged. Extended wearing of the headphone would cause user fatigue, and frequent connections and disconnections would wear the headphone contacts. VoiceUbique has been developed as a solution to this so-called "year 2006 headphone problem".
VoiceUbique is an ultra-compact, lightweight, wireless audio reception unit, designed in the form of an earphone or ring. The user can wear it all day and still lead a normal life without discomfort. The unit can be worn both indoors and outdoors repetitious. VoiceUbique consumes such a low amount of power that it can be used without battery replacement for up to two years.
Anyone will find it easy to use. It requires no troublesome operations, such as having to turn the power on or off, or tuning to a channel.
Since infrared rays are used for communication, there is no risk of interference with devices using radio waves, such as mobile phones or wireless LANs.
